Sending money, receiving money - it's that easy

Send money around the world in minutes *, here's how:

Find a ReiseBank branch near you.

Fill out the data entry sheet on site, show a valid ID and pay the amount to be transferred and the transaction fee in euros.

Our employee will now give you a 10-digit MTCN. You communicate this to the recipient together with all the data relevant to the payment - and the recipient can collect the money from the Western Union agency of his choice.

Important: Please never share your data with strangers!

Do you expect money yourself?

So that our employees can pay you the money, you need

  • Your valid identification document
  • the MTCN number given to you by the sender
  • Sender's first and last name
  • the amount of the expected amount

Direct to bank

With the "direct to bank account service" you can transfer money securely, conveniently and quickly to your recipient's bank account.

It's that easy:

Find a ReiseBank branch near you.

Fill out the data entry sheet, show a valid ID and pay the amount to be transferred and the transaction fee in euros.

Depending on the recipient country, you will need the following information from the recipient:

  • the name of the recipient
  • the name of the bank
  • the recipient's account number
  • the BIC (Bank Identifier Code)
  • the IBAN (International Bank Account Number)

The money will now be transferred directly to the recipient's bank account.

If you send the money to a bank account in the EU, the amount will usually be credited within one business day. Payments to bank accounts in all other countries are generally available to the recipient within a maximum of 3 days.

The “Direct to Bank” money transfer service is already available in over 37 countries. The complete list of countries is available for download here. Country list is from March 2013 - is there anything new?

Western Union Mobile Money Transfer

Send money directly to a mobile phone (mobile wallet).

It's that easy:

To use Mobile Money Transfer, the recipient needs an activated mobile wallet. This must be activated by a mobile operator in the destination country.

If so, go to a ReiseBank branch near you.

Fill out the data entry sheet, show a valid ID and pay the amount to be transferred and the transaction fee in euros.

As soon as the money is available, the recipient will receive an SMS notification from their mobile operator.

Tip: If you give our employee your own mobile phone number, you will also receive a confirmation SMS as soon as the recipient's mobile wallet has been topped up.

Money transfer within Germany?

The ReiseBank money transfer

ReiseBank Money Transfer is ReiseBank's internal money transfer. It allows you to send money within Germany. This transfer is possible in all ReiseBank branches. Deposits and withdrawals are only made in euros.

ReiseBank Money Transfer - How does it work?

You go to one of our offices and fill out the data entry sheet. You present us with a valid identification document and pay in the amount to be transferred including the fee in EURO.

You will then receive a control number. The recipient can usually collect the money in cash within 10 minutes.

To collect the money you will need:

  • a valid identification document
  • the payment-relevant data (first name and surname of the sender, amount of the expected amount, shipping country)
  • the control number

It is the responsibility of the sender of the money to pass on the data relevant to the payment. Communicate the data confidentially to the recipient.
