To send a package to Japan, you must present a customs declaration in English, French, Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese in duplicate.

Sending gifts in a package to Japan

As a private person, you can send gifts to Japan with a total value of 10,000 yen (approx. 72 euros, as of June 30, 2014) to a private person, usually duty-free and duty-free.
