Star Wars 7 - Chronicle writer criticizes the film and is hated for it

Chronicle screenwriter Max Landis thinks Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens stupid. It's not a bad thing in and of itself, but its justification enrages the Internet. Now he's trying to justify himself.

Right now, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is breaking all sorts of box office records. Even with fans of the space saga, the flick is almost consistently well received. But there are also people with a different opinion. One of them is Max Landis, Chronicle screenwriter - What are you capable of? and Victor Frankenstein starting in April. On the Internet, he is currently getting a lot on the lid, because the fans don't like his reason at all, as Comicbook.com reports. One of the reasons for his resentment against The Force Awakens is the character Rey (Daisy Ridley). He calls her "Mary Sue", with which he wants to allude to the fact that she has special abilities for some inexplicable reason. Twitter users see this term as a kind of sexism and are now cursing Landis:

I think anyone who has problems with Rey as a 'Mary Sue' just doesn't have enough experience with really strong women. Really sad.

If you think Rey is a Mary Sue character, you either know less about movies than you realize, or you're just pissed off because you're not involved in the movie.
